A warning has come though that the Higginson Highway where you turn towards Chatsworth is a smash-and-grab hotspot.

A listener says a suspect smashed her car's window on Saturday even though there was nothing visible that he could steal. Her dad fought back and the stubborn suspect only stopped when a motorist got of his car to help.

Binoculars found

A pair of binoculars was found in the car park at Virginia in April. Heidi says she has made several attempt to find the owner. He drove a metallic Landrover. If it is yours, contact her on 082 706 4283.

Stolen cars

A cream Ford Courier bakkie was stolen at Overport on Saturday, ND 492 857. Contact Mrs Govender on 031 207 4001.

A maroon Toyota Corolla Twin Cam was stolen from Westcliff, Chatsworth on 9 August. If you have any info, contact Chatsworth Police. A reward's being offered."
